C. 28782 Accepts Call To Pacolet Baptist The Rev. Ray Ledford, pastor of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church' in Henderson County has accepted a call to the Pacolet Baptist Church. Mr Ledford will preach here on November 30th A native of Spruce Pine, he is a graduate of Fruitland Baptist Bible Institute. He attended Gardner-Webb College for 1 year and Mars Hill College for 2 years He is currently studying through Seminary Extension Home Study Institute. He was licensed to preach by Big Crabtree Baptist Church in Spruce Pine of which he was a member and was ordained by East Flat Rock First Baptist Church on July 18,1976 Mr. Ledford and his wife, Wanda, have two children. TUESDAY, NOV. 4,1980 In Concert Friday At 8 Lee Luvisi ■ The Tryon Concert Association will present Lee Luvisi, pianist Friday at 8 p m at the Tryon Fine Arts Center Emerging from what Newsweek Magazine recently called his "underground reputation as a pianist's pianist’ ", Lee Luvisi is today one of the most highly respected artists on the American musical scene. Shunning many of the usual paths to musical success, Mr Luvisi has chosen to develop quietly but steadily over the past several decades an enviable career as soloist and chamber musician.
